1874 First Impressionist Exhibit, Blvd des Capucines (Nadar's old studio).
The Anonymous Society of Artists - painters, sculptors, printmakers… Cezanne includes his Oympia. Includes Cezanne, Degas, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, and Renoir.

1876 Second Impressionist Exhibit, 11 Rue Le Peletier (Durand Ruel Gallery).
Now they present themselves as a movement. . Includes Degas, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, and Renoir.
The Exhibition of Independent Artists.


1877 Third Impressionist Exhibit, 6 Rue Le Peletier. Includes Cezanne, Degas, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, and Renoir. Cassatt views and Degas invites her to show in the 1879 exhibit. She encourages Degas first American sale, a pastel over monotype.


1879 Fourth Impressionist Exhibit, 28 Avenue de l'Opera. Includes Cassatt, Degas, Monet, and Pissarro. Degas takes a large part in the orgainzation and sets a new standard, "you cannot exhibit at the Salon" thus Renoir withdraws because of his success as a portrait painter at the salon (Madame Charpentier) , he proceeds to paint Lunch at the Boating Party.


1880 Fifth Impressionist Exhibit, 10 Rue des Pyramides. Degas continues to take a strong role. Monet and Renoir do not exhibit. Cassatt, Degas, Morisot, and Pissarro.


1881 Sixth Impressionist Exhibit, 35 Blvd. Des Capucines. Cassatt, Degas, Morisot, and Pissarro.
Gauguin is included.


1882 Seventh Impressionist Exhibit, 251 Rue St.-Honore .Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, and Renoir. Cezanne is excepted at the Salon.


1883 Manet dies.


1886 Eighth Impressionist Exhibit, 251 Rue Saint-Honore, organized by Durand Ruel. Cassatt, Degas, Morisot, and Pissarro.

April 1886, Durand Ruel Organizes a large NYC exhibition. Over 300 paintings and pastels.
This is also a time when Renoir and Monet take a new direction.

1890 Morisot and Cassatt visit the Japanese wood cut exhibit.

1894 Callibotte dies.
1895 Morisot dies.
1899 Sisley dies.
1903 Pissarro dies.
1906 Cezanne dies.
1917 Degas dies.
1919 Renoir dies.
1926 Cassatt and Monet die.
